Is there a free version or trial?
No. There's no free tier and no trial. The paywall is skippable, so you can open the app and look around before you subscribe, and cancelling later takes two taps.
How does billing work?
Ahead is $25 a month, or $199 billed once for 12 months, which works out to $16.58 a month. Prices are in AUD and include GST. Both plans renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling takes two taps.
Can I cancel?
Yes, in two taps. Cancel and your plan stops at the end of the period you've paid for. Your data exports cleanly whenever you want it.
Does Ahead do my tax?
No. Ahead shows an estimated tax position built from your own transactions: income, GST, PAYG and deductions you've confirmed. Every figure is an estimate, and you can adjust the assumptions behind it. Ahead is not a registered tax or BAS agent, doesn't give tax advice and doesn't lodge anything. For advice or lodgement, talk to a registered tax agent.
Can Ahead move money?
No. Connections are read-only. Ahead can see balances and transactions, but cannot make payments, change settings, or access anything else. You can revoke access at any time.
Which banks are supported?
Every Australian bank in the Consumer Data Right (CDR), which is every major bank and most challengers. Connections are powered by Fiskil, an ACCC-accredited CDR principal.
Is my data sold or used for ads?
Never. We don't sell data or run ads. Your subscription pays for the service. That's the whole model, and your data stays in Australia.
Why not free, like some other apps?
Free apps either monetise your data, sell you upsells, or eventually run out of money and shut down. A fair price keeps the lights on and keeps your data yours.
